NYCAMH seeking “gearheads” to help disabled farmers

The New York Center for Agricultural Medicine and Health (NYCAMH) Farm Partners program works in conjunction with farm and human service agencies to help farmers and their families with problem solving. We assist disabled farmers and underinsured farmers facing medical bills.

We have created a list of dealers/installers/fabricators and farm equipment mechanical experts (“gearheads”) who would be willing to help disabled farmers be matched with farm equipment modifications. Unlike resources available to adapt personal vehicles, there is no comprehensive list of experts for farm equipment. By adding your name, we will grow this list and further demonstrate the ingenuity of the farming community around the state. There is no commitment on your part however, your contact info could be shared with ACCES-VR (Vocational Rehabilitation) and/or NYS Ag and Markets, the two state agencies helping to support this program. If you have additional questions don’t hesitate to reach out at info@nycamh.org or (800) 343-7527. Thank you for your time!

Please click the link below to add your name, or share this email with a gearhead in your life! It’ll be live through February 16.
