The Becker Forum takes place on January 11, 2021 as a virtual event, it’s theme is appropriately: “Times of Change” in farm labor. It is certainly a time of dynamic change and great uncertainty. New York farm employers are awaiting possible state regulatory changes concerning the overtime wage threshold, while still adapting to dramatic changes from the past two years. They are watching at the federal level as a new Congress and Administration could dramatically alter H-2A and immigration policy. And all of this takes place while COVID-19 continues to rage across the world, upending supply chains and markets, and requiring strong action to protect the health of the farm workforce, communities, and consumers.
Becker Forum welcomes all types of producers and those who support farm employers. Find more information and register through the New York State Vegetable Grower’s Association: https://nysvga.org/expo/information/. This takes you to the Empire State Producer’s EXPO page, look for “meeting registration,” click to register, then choose “register the primary attendee,” and choose Becker Forum from the registration options.
